15910 Introduction to Private Investigation
Using lecture, demonstration, invited guest experts and special projects, this course will provide persons interested in the field of private investigations with a look at the day-to-day activities of a working PI. We will present the history/development of the scientific method of investigation, applications to other disciplines (medicine, law, journalism, social work, research, etc.), introduce the latest techniques of criminal investigation, identify crimes and criminals with whom the PI interacts, and will acquaint those interested, including the avid mystery reader/writer, with frame of reference of the private investigator. Course requirement: an uncontrollable desire to know Who, What, When, Where, How and Why!
