This course is designed to follow the Adult Beginning Piano 1 class. Students will continue to develop their note reading skills and expand on their knowledge of basic theory concepts as they learn new music in many new keys. It was the music and culture of the Middle East that gave birth to the ancient art form we know as belly dance. Imported to the West, Belly Dance both delighted and entertained. A recent happy transition has turned belly dance from exotic entertainment into a dance enjoyed by thousands of women. It has become a home to all ages, shapes, and sizes. Chosen for exercise, pleasure, personal development, and the opportunity to dance and create, it offers much to those who follow its path to the dancer within. Learn fundamental belly dance steps and isolations, limbering/stretching exercises, basic Middle Eastern rhythms, the use of finger cymbals, and the historical background of the belly dance. Come and enjoy the dance!

12782 Fundamental Country Western Dance
New Northwest Class Location! Learn the FUNdamentals of the most popular country dances: 2-step, swing, waltz and polka. Basic partner dance skills and lead/follow techniques will be emphasized. No partner is necessary as dancers will change partners often during class. A dance party and access to other social dance events will also be offered. Classes will be held at the Dance Emporium, 1550 Stephanie, Suite 101, Rio Rancho, NM. There is an additional $20/person or $30/couple materials/floor fee paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
