Experience the thrill and adventure of vertical rock climbing. Learn climbing techniques and the safe use of equipment through top roping. Gain the necessary basic skills to safely continue the journey into the world of vertical rock climbing. The course will be conducted at UNM's climbing walls and in the field. All equipment will be provided (details will be given at the first class meeting.) Note: Field trip dates are April 21 and 25. Students need to bring one piece of 8 ft. long, 9-11 mm (3/8-7/8) thick accessory rope. Note: Students who park on UNM campus must purchase a parking permit."
