55975 Documentary and the Environment

Environmental DocumentariesContemporary documentary filmmakers are showcasing environmental issues more frequently. Illegal oil drilling in Alaska or the successful reintroduction of an endangered species into the wild can become the subject of a compelling documentary. In this class, students work on a short environmental film, taking a project from initial idea through script development and shooting to postproduction. We also discuss ways to develop an outreach campaign.
Prerequisite: 55911, and 57311, 57321, 57110, or 57111.
