With its unique geothermal hot springs, this region has for centuries been an important place of healing and gathering. Native Americans used these springs as a neutral healing ground after battles referring to them with reverence as ‘Grandmother’ because of the soothing and beneficial properties of the waters. Today people from across the globe arrive in T or C to take part in the natural healing power of these fabulous springs. The spa’s multiple private pools rise at temperatures as high as 107° Fahrenheit and have a particularly beneficial (and odorless) combination of over 35 minerals, each offering a specific healing property. Fee includes overnight stay, a bath for each day, and travel. Extras may be purchased.

Learn the intricacies of making tamales while cooking three different types to highlight the different techniques helpful in tamale making. Make your own tamales and then get some in depth information from the chef. Enjoy the tasty fruits of your labor at the end of class. You will master and enjoy Red Chile and Pork Tamales, Southern Mexican Chicken Tamales in Banana Leaf and Sweet Anise Seed Tamales. This is a hands on class. Fee includes travel and course.
