55932 Cinematography II: Lights, Camera, Action!
This hands-on action-packed course gives participants the feeling of what it’s like to work on an actual film
or television production. In this follow-up to Cinematography Basics: Lights, Camera, Action!, students
participate in realistic production scenarios in a working motion picture studio. Production simulations include lighting and shooting dolly and jib shots, multicamera entertainment, and “poor man’s process” or creating the illusion of a moving vehicle inside the controlled environment of a film studio. Prerequisite: 55931 or 23473.

Learn the techniques of creating a strong sense of depth in your photos by utilizing in-camera controls and making the most of photographic opportunities. Topics include the use of aperture and focal length to control depth of field and a comprehensive understanding of how light, background and textures can be used to make your images pop! Prerequisite: 55801/3, must have a digital camera with manual capabilities.

55912 Digital Videography II
Achieve satisfying and professional-looking footage using your personal digital video camera by applying basic skills and shooting techniques. Emphasis is on hands-on training and video exercises. Topics include camera movement and composition, types of shots that make up a scene, basic lighting setups, microphones and audio, and how to shoot with editing in mind. Prerequisite: 55911, must have a digital video camera.
