Youth Spring Break Camps

UNM Continuing Education’s Youth Program is offering spring break camps, which will run March 23-27.

Camps offered this spring break include:
Puppet Pandemonium — ages 6-9 from 9am-12pm
Windy Wonders — ages 6-9 from 12:30-3:30pm
Windy Wonders — ages 10-13 from 9am-12pm
Ancient Egypt — ages 10-13 from 12:30-3:30pm.

Natural Way of Eating [03297]

Natural Way of Eating is one of the many new classes Continuing Education at UNM is offering this spring. This class will demonstrate several delicious recipes, preparation and cooking methods for those interested in eating healthy and for people who have Candida (yeast infection fungus). Chris Hall Alternative Practitioner will speak about Candida and healthy eating.

Health and Human Services Supervisor Position Open

Continuing Education at UNM has a job opening for a Health and Human Services Supervisor.

Under general supervision, this supervisor will focus on the Health and Human Services areas including Substance Abuse studies, Case Management, and several career specific training programs. This supervisor plans, develops, markets, manages, and administers the various non-credit community education programs in this area. Interacts with business and community leaders to assess needs, and develops and delivers appropriate responsive services throughout the community and the state. Manages two grants, one state and one tribal.

Take a Tour of the Roundhouse

PhlebotomyUNM Continuing Education is holding a free information session on the Phlebotomy Certificate Program Wednesday, January 14 from 6 pm to 7 pm at Continuing Education North Building, room D, 1634 University Blvd. The Phlebotomy Certificate Program, designed in partnership with TriCore Reference Laboratories, prepares individuals to break into the healthcare industry. There is a high demand for phlebotomists in New Mexico.

Free Information Session

Free Information Session: Certified Financial Planning Program

UNM Continuing Education is holding a free information session on the Certified Financial Planning Program on Tuesday, December 11 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Continuing Education South, 1634 University Blvd. This nine-month certificate program prepares students for lucrative positions in the financial industry. Program graduates are eligible to sit for the national CFP exam. Classes start January 30, 2009.
