Continuing Education Holiday Hours

Continuing Education will be closed for the Holidays Wednesday, December 24- Friday, January 2.

The registration office will resume its regular hours for in-person and phone registration Monday, January 5. Online registration will still be available during the holiday break. For registration office hours click here.

Relax with a Trip to Ojo Caliente

saunaSign up for this relaxing travel course to take a day trip to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs in the heart of northern New Mexico. A variety of pools, both indoor and outdoor, with different temperatures and mineral composition, offer a day of splendid relaxation. The cost of $84 includes travel and seven mineral pools and steams and saunas at the facility.

Free Lecture and Osher Membership Drive

Were the Aztecs a Chosen People?
Come attend this free lecture where Dr. Charles Truxillo, a former Latin American history teacher at UNM and New Mexico Highlands University, will examine the origins of the Aztecs (1288-1521 CE), highlighting their role as the chosen people of their god called Huitzilopotchli. This event is open to the public and launches the Osher Spring Membership Drive.

Topics include disk organization, working in a multi-user environment, how to install software programs including reinstallation of the operating system, maintenance and back-up procedures, using Sherlock to find Internet information, and the Apple System Profiler. Create Efficient, Attractive Web Graphics and Animations

Web Graphics with Fireworks
Through this class you will learn how to optimize GIFs and JPEGs for fast download without losing image quality. Also, explore the effective use of Web colors, create graphics and Web page layouts within Macromedia Fireworks’ unique vector/raster environment, and use the animation tools to create animated GIFs and simple Flash animations. In addition you will have the opportunity to learn about Fireworks’ HTML-generating features, including image maps, image slicing, and JavaScript rollovers. Cost $259
