Eileen Stanton wrote a syndicated semi-biographical humor column for almost two decades, hosted a daily radio talk show, headed an advertising, public relations and video production company, and was editor of two newspapers. She wrote, directed and produced hundreds of documentaries for TV, and thousands of commercials, as well as more than 5,000 articles to newspapers and magazines. She has taught professional writing courses on cruise ships and still teaches at four universities. She has recently completed two of seven novels, which won first place in national contests. Eileen also acts as the Conference Coordinator for our annual Writers Conference. This summer, Eileen teaches:

About the course:
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the legal system and basic concepts of paralegalism, including civil procedure, litigation, evidence, interviewing, law office management, ethics, Court rules and procedures. Students will learn basic library and online research, in addition to legal analysis and legal writing skills. Students will be trained to enter records into the District Court database.
About the internship:
This course provides placement and supervision of students in an internship with the DistrictCourt beginning with the Second Judicial District. Students will perform tasks as assigned by their supervisor in District Court, including entry of records in District Court databases. Students will meet with their instructor once each week at UNM Continuing Education. Students must complete 4-hour Orientation prior to beginning an internship.
About the is the instructor:
Anita Traub, J.D., is a 1985 graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, and has practiced law and divorce mediation. She began her teaching career as an adjunct professor in the Criminal Justice Department at Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2002, where she developed a mock trial program, in addition to teaching Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence and Women & the Law.
In March of 2004 she returned to Albuquerque to become a full-time instructor in the Paralegal Program at Metropolitan College. Anita taught an extensive list of courses, including Constitutional Law, Family Law, Civil Procedure, Legal Research, Advanced Legal Research & Writing, Trial Preparation & Practice, Immigration Law, Indian Law, Law Office Management, Estate Planning & Probate, and American Federal Government. She was honored as Outstanding Instructor by the students in 2005 and 2006.
In addition to teaching, Anita has been involved in both live and on-line paralegal course development both in New Mexico and Colorado. Most recently she has developed on-line courses in Immigration Law, Intellectual Property, Entertainment Law and Education Law.

Club Ed: Digital Photography: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, July 7 - 11
We’ve put together four courses that will give you everything you need to know to take great digital pictures and put them to use! In just a week of your time, you can learn how to get your current print photographs into the computer, enjoy walking field trips led by an experienced digital photographer, and come back to the Digital Arts Computer Lab to learn how to edit your new photographs as well as calibrate your equipment.
