Special keynote presentation by April Lawrence, Associate Producer of the HBO series The Sopranos, is hosted in partnership with the NM Adobe User Groups, AdobeQuerque, and Motion ABQ.

Immerse yourself in an opulent civilization of the distant past. Take a journey down the Nile River as you drink in the wealth of another time. This course is designed to give the student an overview of ancient Egyptian society and the mystical symbols utilized in art, architecture, religion, everyday living, mummification and funeral ritual. Learn how the Egyptian gods themselves were symbols, providing an opportunity to explore the transfer of power from god to man. Major Egyptian symbols, their design and purpose are discussed, leading to a study of how the ancient Egyptians surrounded themselves with images of eternity.

HBO’s “The Sopranos” producer to Keynote at Digital Arts Conference!

We are proud to welcome April Lawrence as our Keynote for the 2nd Annual Digital Arts Conference! April brings knowledge earned in over 17 years with the film and television industry, most recently as Associate Producer on the Emmy Award-Winning HBO series The Sopranos. April has professional experience in large- and small-budget television shows and films, for studios and for independent companies, in almost all aspects of production and post production.

April is a New Mexico native who began her career in Albuquerque theatre, and worked with Robert Hartung’s “Summerfest” at UNM. The keynote is hosted in partnership with: The New Mexico Adobe User Groups, AdobeQuerque, and Motion ABQ.
