Join award-winning digital photographer Lisa Tannenbaum and Steve Cary, New Mexico State Parks Chief Naturalist, at the annual butterfly count at Sugarite Canyon State Park. This is a chance to see a natural phenomenon for yourself, and to experience some unique photographic opportunities. Besides a large number of butterfly species, Sugarite Canyon State Park is also the home of two lakes, numerous wildflowers, and the ruins of a once-thriving coal camp. If time permits, we’ll take a spin through Raton, an old railroad town. Fee includes instruction in digital photography, lodging, travel and a memorable getaway.
