Enjoy an overnight excursion to learn about the behavior and social dynamics of wild horses, and to observe and photograph these free-spirited animals in their natural surroundingst! If you are not a photographer, feel free to take field notes, sketch or simply enjoy the horses and scenery.
On the first day, meet in Dulce for a presentation, and then on to the horse range for an introduction to the area. The second day will be spent leisurely exploring the horse range. Fees include instruction, two lunches, snacks and drinks on the range. Note: The tour begins and the group meets at the Best Western in Dulce, New Mexico. Lodging & travel to the Best Western in Dulce are on your own! Carpooling will be encouraged. Each section limited to eight participants.

Our guide, Lynn Pomeranz, combines her lifelong affinity for horses with a talent for photography. Lynne’s images have graced the covers of numerous publications. She has received an Addie award and awards from the American Horse Publications. Lynne is represented by galleries in Sedona, Corrales, and Albuquerque. In the Fall of 2006 her first book, “Among Wild Horses,” was released by Storey Publishing. It’s worth a visit to Lynne’s website to enjoy the stunning galleries of wild horse photography. There are no words; these images must be seen. Lynne’s workshops in the Jicarilla Wild Horse Territory provide an unforgettable encounter with wildlife.
