Custom Training

As an official provider of Project Management Institute (PMI) instruction, UNM Continuing Education is able to offer the information, tools and skills necessary to complete projects on time and on budget. Whether your work requires you to pass the PMP/CAPM exam, have an extensive knowledge of project management or gain a basic understanding of project management processes, we have the courses you need. Our UNM CE Custom Training Office will work with you to design instruction specific to your needs at a time and location convenient to you.

 

    You will learn to:
  • Manage project interaction and support
  • Identify and address the legal and ethical issues in project management
  • Use PMI’s Project Management Competency Framework to evaluate the competencies necessary for successful project completion
  • Give all stakeholders a voice in the planning and implementation of projects
  • Follow the 5 stages Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Evaluate the success of projects and integrate this into problem-solving sessions
  • Use Microsoft Project as your project management information system
  • Outline and build your project plan incorporating the complex relationships between tasks and resources
  • Create realistic schedules, make accurate cost estimates and manage customer expectations
