The UNM Young Writer’s Conference is for teens and tweens ages 10-17 who love to write. Young writers are invited to a full day of hands on writing practice. Professional writers will present sessions on topics including screenwriting, graphics novels, and how to get published.

Calling all young writers! Join us for the 3rd Annual UNM Young Writers Conference. Learn the ins and outs of writing and getting published from professional writers. Genres include graphic novels, historical fiction, journalism and more. In addition, participants will learn various avenues toward getting published. Young authors are invited to share their work. Limited to first 60 participants. Fee includes a box lunch.
Note: Please download and complete the Emergency Contact Form and Code of Conduct at dce.unm.edu under Youth forms and bring them with you to the session.
