Community Service
At UNM Continuing Education
DWI Education
We administer the DWI Education program for the State. Over time, the Division hopes to effectively contribute to combating the DWI rate in New Mexico.
Spanish Resource Center
Our infrastructure lends its support to endeavours such as the Spanish Resource Center, an outreach of the government of Spain. The mission of the Spanish Resource Center includes promoting awareness and appreciation of Spanish history, culture and language.
New Mexico Kids
Continuing Education provides support to the Children, Youth and Families Department of the State of New Mexico in their creation of the New Mexico Kids project. The recent launch of the new statewide Child Care Resource & Referral service builds on Continuing Education’s development of a website and database that serves as a clearinghouse/directory for child caregivers, a resource for the wellbeing of children.
Our support takes the form of Information Technology management as well as the services of our infrastructure, instructors and provision of materials. Our internal Information Services department creates and maintains many servers, databases and websites in assisting these agencies.
The University of New Mexico Division of Continuing Education and Community Services is proud to be of service.
While we are known as Continuing Education at UNM, our official name is: The University of New Mexico Division of Continuing Education and Community Services. We carry on a strong legacy of service to the community, built into our tradition for over 75 years.
