Becas - Scholarships
El Centro Español de Recursos de Albuquerque cuenta con fondos para bolsas de viaje. The Spanish Resource Center (SRC) in Albuquerque has funding for financial aid (2 aids of $1500 each). These aids aim to reward New Mexico teachers who help the Spanish Resource Center with their daily activities.
- In order to apply:
- Candidates must have residence in New Mexico
- Candidates will elaborate a powerpoint presentation about one of the following categories: Spanish grammar, Spanish culture or Spanish humor. All presentations will be part of the SRC collection and the copyrights will belong to the SRC
- Candidates will apply for one of the courses at http://www.mepsyd.es/exterior/usa/es/programas/cursos/portada.shtml and send a copy of your application in paper to the Spanish Resource Center
- Applications should include:
- A letter explaining the benefits of the course to you, your school and your students. The letter should include your name address, phone number and email
- A Powerpoint presentation
- A copy of your course application
- Photocopies of the diplomas of all the workshops you have attended at the SRC
In case there are many applicants, the aids will be given to the candidates with the most points.
- Point System:
- The Powerpoint presentations will be graded from 1 to 3 points according to their quality
- Each workshop diploma attended at the SRC: 1 point
- If you received a scholarship from the SRC last year: minus 2 points
- If you have ever received a scholarship from the SRC: minus 1 point
The Spanish Resource Center will grant the scholarship once the teacher has gone to Spain and take the course. The SRC can’t grant any money in advance.
The deadline for applications is February 28th, 2009.
