UNM Continuing Education’s Custom Training Program in Partnership with Terri Berrenberg, CFP® CFEd®

UNM Continuing Education’s Custom Training Program in partnership with Terri Berrenberg, Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Financial Educator CFEd® is pleased to offer Financial Literacy and Retirement Planning Education Programs for state and federal agencies, organizations, and businesses throughout New Mexico that want their employees to be prepared for a financially secure future. When employees are more informed and are working toward their financial goals through a solid financial plan, they tend to be more productive in the workplace.

 

    According to a 2005 National Omnibus Survey:
  • Adequate retirement savings was still the most often indicated source of financial stress with 39% of the respondents!
  • 32% are not enrolled in the available 401(k) plan!
  • 44% of those enrolled contribute less than 6% of their income!

 

Financial Literacy and Retirement Planning workshops can be arranged either at the UNM CE location in Albuquerque or at your business. The workshops are generally between 2 and 6 hours in length, depending upon your business requirements.

Also, your employees will receive a workbook which includes personalized financial planning worksheets and high quality information that will assist them in making important decisions and assessing their positioning for retirement.

Records from previous employees who’ve completed Financial Literacy and Retirement Planning workshops indicate that 34% of employees started contributing to their company’s 401(k), and 75% reported making better financial decisions - which contributes directly to their workplace productivity.
