Speaker: Jason Hariton

Jason Hariton

Jason Hariton,
Director of Operations,
Albuquerque Studios

“Albuquerque Studios:
Studio Operations”

Mr. Hariton will be discussing the Albuquerque Studios and its role as the preeminent new facility of its kind. He will describe how the Albuquerque Studios is leading the effort to provide state-of-the-art production infrastructure in coordination with cooperative local governments that are incentivizing the entertainment industry, specifically the state government of New Mexico. He will explain the unlimited potential job growth that the facility and industry triggers, both onsite and in the community at large. Mr. Hariton will also discuss the facility in detail and explain the day-to-day operations, services and infrastructure necessary to support multiple large-scale productions.

Jason Hariton has spent the last 10 years working in the entertainment business in the fields of studio operations and design, production management, producing, marketing and home entertainment. Prior to his studio management services for Albuquerque Studios, Mr. Hariton managed the studio lot of the historic Culver Studios, a 14-acre independent film and television studio in Culver City, California. His responsibilities included all aspects of studio operations and coordination for major motion picture, television, commercial and music productions, more recently including Paramount’s “Beowulf”, DreamWorks’ “Blades of Glory”, NBC TV’s “Las Vegas” and “Deal or No Deal”, New Line’s “Rush Hour 3”, and Madonna, Barbra Streisand, and Mariah Carey.

Mr. Hariton began his industry work at Paramount Pictures where he coordinated domestic and international production operations for Paramount Production Support International. He later managed marketing, creative, and retail planning campaigns for Universal Home Entertainment. While at Universal, Jason coordinated retail campaigns for blockbuster releases and helped expand the booming DVD marketplace with the revitalization and rerelease of many classic film treasures. Mr. Hariton then returned to physical production, becoming an Assistant Director and a television Producer.
