Award-winning music producer

Joey Belville

Joey Belville is an award-winning music producer who has many national releases to his credit who has recently began sharing his talents with UNM Continuing Education. His reputation for being knowledgeable with Logic Pro software led to a recommendation and an offer to teach his skills with UNM Continuing Education. As luck would have it, he enjoys sharing his knowledge of digital recording and music-making, and his classes are a success.

“I’m interested in helping people get over any fear or intimidation of making music with computers.”

His love of making and listening to electronic/techno music, led to early experimentation with recording his own music with computers. This was the early 90s when very few people were knowledgeable in digital recording. It was difficult back then, but his pioneering efforts put him on the forefront of the technology ever since.

Joey has twelve “records,” or finished recordings, of his own, but he really honed his studio craft working on other peoples’ music. Recently he has worked on a remix for Mandi Moore, a track for Switchfoot and a track for Project 86. His own band, Echoing Green, landed a track for the X Box 360 game Dance Dance Revolution. He’s an Apple Certified Trainer in Logic Pro 7.

Joey's current classes may include:

Digital Audio: An Introduction
Logic Pro: Beginning
Logic Pro: Intermediate
