A+ Certification

Contact: Call Carol March at 277-6033 or email itpro@dce.unm.edu.

CompTIA logoA+ Certification applies your knowledge and experience to the building, maintenance, and repair of personal computers. Updated in 2006, A+ validates the latest skills needed from today’s computer support professionals. The updated A+ includes the security skills and soft skills — such as communication and customer service — needed by today’s employers. The A+ credential requires two tests. All candidates must pass the A+ Essentials exam. Three other exams are offered so candidates can choose the second exam to tailor their training to specific job scenarios.

Learn the in-demand skills for building, maintaining and repairing personal computers using A+. Entry level jobs include User Support Analysts, Computer Service Technicians, Desktop Support Assistants, and many other positions. All classes are “hands-on” learning experiences taught by an experienced consultant.
